Spring Summer 2024 Hair Colour Trends

As we have just entered a brand new season and we expect the lighter days to bring out a new range of trending colours. Below are the top four colours we think are going to take over this Spring/Summer…From some timeless shades to some that have only recently appeared in the spotlight.

1. Lived In Shades

2. Soft Copper

3.“Chocolate Syrup” Brunette

4.Caramel Balayage

Lived In Shades

Back in March, we talked all about Lived In Shades and how we think this trend is going to be one to dominate your choices for your new look this season…and our prediction hasn’t changed.

In summary, ‘Lived-In Shades’ are subtle variations of stunning tones throughout the hair that are what lived-in shades are all about. Think sun-kissed, natural tones… perfect for warmer months ahead.

Specifically, ‘Lived-In Bronde’ is on Real Simple’s radar of the colours that will be trending this year. Explaining to the online magazine about the “low-key blonde-meets-brunette bronde” colour, hairstylist Maria McCool says “This clean, natural look is in right now… It has very subtle shading with no strong lines and even fading throughout the hair. It looks as if it could be your natural colour.”

In regards to ‘Lived-In Blonde’, another key trend we have been noticing this year so far, Who What Wear describes the look as “one of the most wearable, low maintenance trends out there” with hair professional Samantha Cusick further explaining “This year, I think we’ll be ditching the platinum blonde vibes of the Barbie film craze in 2023. 2024 will be all about more lived-in shades with darker roots…”

The colours you need to create this look? Well, we have a list. Take a look at our Lived In Shades journal post to see the full list.

An example of this is the gorgeous T5-7/20 - a dark ash brown, medium ash brown with natural ash blonde

Soft Copper

Of course, a shade of copper is making the list of the colours we predict will make an impact in Spring 2024. A regular feature in our trend blogs, copper shades show no sign of stopping soon...Particularly, Cosmopolitan, Glamour and Allure all predict the “Soft Copper” as one of the best colours to try in Spring/Summer 2024.

Cosmopolitan explains “If you've been nervous to jump on the red hair colour bandwagon every season but still have your eye on a warmer, red-tone shade, try a soft ginger shade”. Does it sound like you? Well, the magazine further explains “It feels more muted than a standard auburn but has a lot more brunette depth in the shade than a standard ginger or copper hair colour.”

Looking for some inspiration for this beautiful look? We think colour 33 is certainly your go-to… Available in Remi Cachet Wefts, Tapes and Pre Bonded Hair Extensions.

“Chocolate Syrup” Brunette

If Hailey Bieber has changed her hair colour, we reckon the new colour is bound to make an impact in the season… are we right? If we are, well “Chocolate Syrup” Brunette is going to be one of the colours to look out for in Spring 2024. Bustle magazine also has this on their list for “8 Hair Color Trends That Will Define Spring 2024”, with colour expert Melessia Wade-Smith explaining “This dark brown hue is very sleek, rich, and makes hair look ultra-healthy and glossy coming out of the cold, winter months.”

Your answer to achieve this look? Colour 2. Our darkest brown shade is available in multiple hair extension methods and lengths that match Hailey’s new look perfectly… you’re welcome.

Caramel Balayage

Caramel Balayage is on Who What Wear’s list of “The Biggest Spring Hair Colours For 2024”. Like “Lived In Shades” previously discussed, Caramel Balayage is all about a natural result with hair stylist and colourist Carley Bayne explaining to the magazine that  “This trend is perfect for clients wanting a more natural result and works great on all skin tones. Soft caramel tones on a lighter base will add movement and shine to the hair. On darker hair colours, think dark chocolate with bright caramel highlights throughout, which makes for a great contrast.” How gorgeous…

We just love this look… the perfect example of ‘Caramel Balayage’...
