Get The Look:The Baftas 2022
What a better way to kick off our new “Get The Look” series in our journal than starting off with the glamorous Baftas. Hitting our screens on Sunday night, this was the awards first physical ceremony since the pandemic began so allowed us to see the gorgeous looks on the red carpet 💃🏽. Here at Additional Lengths, what we were really focusing on was the hairstyles the stars opted for (obviously). Here’s some of our favourites and how you can create these exact looks at home...
1. Jessica Plummer - Slicked Back & Chic
Actress Jessica Plummer wowed us with her gorgeous slicked back bun at the ceremony here, which definitely earns her a top spot in our favourite looks. This was a style we talked about way back in December in our “What Will Be Your Look For 2022?” post, where we predicted this look would make an impact and oh wow, did it showcase itself at the Baftas. Not only was this styled gorgeously by Jessica, it was also perfected by Andreea Cristea and Florence Pugh to name a couple. But, it was Jessicas look that won us over due to the true chic and elegance the look portrayed.
How can you create this? - The choice really is endless with what products you want to use to achieve this style which makes the look even better.
The Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream is a leave-in styling solution and is highly effective at combating frizz.
Or why not try the Remi Cachet Hair Oil to create the sleek style then wash out later with the Remi Cachet Pre Application Shampoo? This shampoo is extremely clarifying so it will thoroughly remove the products you’ve used previously on the hair so you aren’t stuck with permanently slicked back hair… We love this look but not that much.

It doesn't stop there, there is of course our range of Remi Cachet Hair Buns that are great for instant updos for any occasion. Just like your own hair, these can be curled, styled and treated, giving you endless options to make the look your own. Make sure you check out how WhatLydiaLikes styled this bun here… just stunning.
2. Simone Ashley - Waves For Days
Star of Bridgeton and Sex Education, Simone Ashley looked gorgeous with her never ending waves on Sunday which you can see here. A style that seems to have no expiry date and can be worn throughout the year, waves just scream glamour.
How can you create this? - What's better than a glamorous look? The ease of creating it of course and we have got you covered with the Silkology Heatless Hair Curler. Simply pop this on with damp hair and leave overnight to wake up with effortless but elegant waves. Then, just fix with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Strong Hold and you’re good to go.

3. Naomi Campbell - Straight & Sleek
Forever an icon, Naomi Campbell’s straight and sleek look here, looked so sophisticated and stylish, it had to take a place on our top looks. This was another look we discussed in our December post “What Will Be Your Look For 2022” where we highlighted the prediction from celebrity stylist Sally Hershberger. “Long, straight hair is going to be huge. With inspiration coming from the ’90s and 2000s, you’ll be seeing pin-straight hair with middle parts everywhere” she explained to Bustle magazine. Naomi perfected that exact look on Sunday.
How can you create this? - First of all, let's talk length. Here at Additional Lengths, we boast a range of lengths across a number of application methods so you are sure to find a length that suits you. From 10” to a huge 30”, the choice is all yours.
Then it comes to styling and what a better way to get pin-straight hair than using the Qute Wide Styler to get a silky smooth look for your locks.
