  • How long do DIY Tape In Hair Extensions last?

    DIY Tape In Hair Extensions are designed for temporary wear and can be worn for up to 4 washes. Adhesive can naturally begin to loosen between 2–4 washes, depending on your hair type, haircare products and daily activities.​

  • How long can tape-in hair extensions be worn before slipping?

    Slipping can depend on your individual hair type, how the extensions are applied, the products you use and factors such as heat, moisture and daily activity. For the best hold, follow the application and aftercare instructions carefully.​

  • Can I wash my hair and style wearing tape-in hair extensions?

    Yes, you can wash your hair while wearing your DIY Tape In Hair Extensions. However, excessive moisture and certain haircare products can cause the adhesive to loosen more quickly.​ Avoid applying oily, conditioning or highly moisturising products, as these can affect adhesion and may cause the extensions to slip sooner.​

    Allow the hair to dry thoroughly after washing and avoid going to bed with wet hair.​

  • How many times can I use tape-in human hair extensions?

    The human hair can be reused several times, provided it is cared for correctly. Once the original adhesive has loosened, the extensions can be removed and re-taped using Additional Lengths Tape Tabs, allowing you to apply them again.​The number of times they can be reused will depend on the condition of the hair and how well it is maintained.​

  • Can you dye tape-in hair extensions?

    Yes, you can dye our DIY Tape In Hair Extensions. The extensions are made from human hair and can be coloured. However, we always recommend having any colouring or chemical treatment carried out by a qualified hair professional.​As with natural hair, colouring can affect the condition and longevity of the extensions. We recommend carrying out a strand test before colouring the full set.​

  • How do I re-tape the DIY Tape In Hair Extensions?

    Once the original tape has lost its adhesion, carefully remove the old adhesive residue and ensure the extension is clean and dry. Apply a new Additional Lengths Tape Tab to the extension, making sure it is positioned correctly and free from hair or product residue.​

    The extension can then be reapplied to clean, dry hair following the original application instructions.​

    For best results, always ensure the hair is completely free from oils, conditioner and styling products before re-taping.​
