Are You Ready For Spring 2022?

With Spring fast approaching (yay), we will soon be welcoming brighter mornings, lighter nights and warmer temperatures… are you as excited as us?!

Not only do we have these exciting things to come but a new season is a perfect opportunity to refresh your look if you fancy a change. But, if you are finding yourself struggling to choose what your new season look will be, we are here to help with the colours and hairstyles we are expecting to see more and more of in Spring…

Honey Blonde

With the sun expected to make a more frequent appearance, honey blonde is a great opportunity to bring some brightness to your locks.☀️

If you go for this look you will be following the lead of Beyonce (that is enough to persuade us). The A-Lister recently showcased a stunning honey blonde bob in a recent promotion video for her brand Ivy Park here. Although a lot of talk was on the bob itself, which is a big change for the star, we seriously ADORE this colour.

We also love this look created by @the_extensions_room using a mixture of colours 4/8 & 6/22

Cola Red

This stunning colour between red and brown is a colour we expect to see more and more of in Spring.

Back in November last year, influencer Naomi Genes-Williams showed off her new look on her Instagram here which is the gorgeous cola red colour that we just love. This is a colour we have noticed has been a regular feature on our feeds recently and shows no sign of stopping any time soon.

@bestextend recently posted this stunning look on one of her clients using the colour 33 and we are obsessed…

Luxe Rich Brown

A colour that online magazine, Who What Wear highlighted as one of their top colours they expect to go crazy in 2022 due to it being highly requested by celebrities already… Luxe rich brown may just convince you from moving away from lighter shades this Spring.

A huge inspiration for this look has got to be actress Shay Mitchell with her stunning brunette locks. We just love these looks here, here and oh here too.

@mlthairextensions recently tagged in this stunning refit transformation for his client in colour 2, so gorgeous…

Expensive Blonde

An exciting shade that is everywhere right now, “Expensive Blonde” has been the final look for so many celebrities' transformations right now. This includes; Jessica Alba, Chrishell Stause and Rosie Huntington- Whiteley.

Overall, this look showcases warmer and deeper blonde tones compared to the platinum shades we have previously seen trending. This creates a stunning natural, sun-kissed look, perfect for the warmer months that are approaching.

@unbeweavablehairsalon perfects this look in her recent transformation using colours 8/613 and 16/60.

Hairstyles

It doesn't stop at colour, if you are stuck for a new hairstyle to showcase this Spring, we have got your back. Here are 3 looks we think will make an impact this upcoming season:

1. Clip In Ponytails

Celebrity hairstylist, Marc Mena explained to Bustle Magazine that he expects to see more people turning to pieces to add to their hairstyles, especially ponytails due to clip-in hair extensions rising in popularity.

Great for us and for you because our range of Ponytails are available in a variety of colours and allow you to create a long, sleek pony, in less than a minute… you’re welcome.

2. Trendy Tendrils

A trend we discussed in our “What Will Be Your Look For 2022?” blog post, we won't be surprised if Tendrils don't go anywhere in Spring. Loved by the likes of Dua Lipa, Hailey Bieber and many more, we expect to see this style more often on our feeds.

3. Beachy Texture

As we move towards the warmer months, a beach wave texture just seems more fitting for the season, and we aren't complaining. The Silkology Heatless Hair Curler  will do just the trick for this gorgeous look and even better, it's heatless…💁♀️

Velcro roller FAQs

  • Do Velcro rollers need heat to work?

Velcro hair rollers can be used to achieve stunning results with or without heat. Using your hair dryer to apply heat speeds up the setting process, delivering bouncy curls in minutes.

However, Velcro hair rollers can be worn to bed, where their clip-free design means they shouldn’t disturb your beauty sleep. Simply apply to dry hair as part of your bedtime routine, and wake up in 6–8 hours to effortless bounce.

Both heated and heat-free Velcro roller methods deliver impressive volume and hold.

  • Can I use Velcro rollers on hair extensions?

Velcro rollers can be used on human hair extensions just the same as your own hair. Follow all the instructions and advice in this guide to get the best results from Velcro-rolling your hair extensions, and take extra care to avoid tangling, especially close to the bonds.

  • What size of Velcro rollers should I use?

The best size of Velcro hair rollers depends on your desired look:

    • Jumbo (2+ inches): Best for root lift and smoothing.
    • Large (1.5–2 inches): Loose waves and mega volume.
    • Medium (1–1.5 inches): Balanced volume with more definition.
    • Small (0.5–1 inch): Tighter curls and bounce.

  • Why do my rollers keep slipping out?

If your rollers keep slipping out, try working in smaller sections, add a spritz of texture spray, and secure withcurlerclipsfor extra hold.

  • Why do my curls look uneven?

Uneven results usually mean uneven rolling technique. To remedy this, keep your sections consistent, apply heat and cooling time evenly, and check your roller placement from root to tip.

  • Can I combine Velcro rollers with other hair styling tools?

Velcro rollers play well with other hair styling tools. Use them after curling irons to lock curls in shape, or roll sections post-straightening for extra volume and smoothness. They’re also perfect for adding hidden lift to half-up styles or popping in after a blow-dry for a polished finish.

  • Should you put Velcro rollers in wet hair?

You should not apply rollers to wet hair. Instead, apply to almost dry or completely dry hair for best results.

  • How long should you leave your hair in Velcro rollers?

If opting for a heat-free rolling technique, leave your hair in rollers for 6–8 hours for best results. Some people choose to do this overnight.

If setting your Velcro hair rollers with heat, they’ll be ready to remove in minutes.

Don’t underestimate the power of Velcro hair rollers – they’re a low-effort, high-impact tool that transforms flat hair into full-bodied drama. Ready to get unrivalled volume, shape, and bounce? Shop Velcro rollers here
