"How Do I Look After My Hair Extensions?"
In total, we have 10 top tips to keep your hair extensions looking great:
1. After application, do not wash new hair extensions for 48 hours.
2. Don’t wash your hair more than 3 times a week.
3. Before washing, de-tangle your hair from end to root using a gentle brush.
4. Gently brush your hair at least once or twice a day.
5. Always dry the root area of your hair extensions on a cool setting.
6. Loosely plait your hair or tie it up before bed. Plus, why not use a silk pillowcase to keep your hair extra protected during the night.
7. Attend your regular maintenance appointments (more about that later)

“How Often Should I Be Attending Maintenance Appointments For My Hair Extensions?”
Keeping up to date with your maintenance appointments helps ensure your hair quality remains in excellent condition throughout its longevity.
Your stylist knows when exactly you will need your maintenance appointments as everybody is different. However, the list below illustrates the different hair extension categories and approximately how often your maintenance should be…
Approximately every 8 to 10 weeks (excluding Flat Tips as these last longer being an adhesive method).
As Tape Tabs for Tape hair extensions keep the extension in place for approximately 10 to 12 weeks, maintenance appointments will usually be required during this period for retaping and reapplication.
Depending on your hair and the application method your stylist has used for your Weft hair extensions, your maintenance appointments should be every 8 to 10 weeks.
Something we need to stress is that everybody is different so your stylist can give you the best guidance on the frequency of your maintenance appointments as this depends on your personal hair density and your rate of hair growth.
Overall, it’s so important to ensure that you always listen to your stylist and us as we are professionals. If you follow our recommended aftercare advice, use the correct aftercare products and attend the regular maintenance appointments your stylist has given you, you can have gorgeous hair, for longer. So, no Googling any bizarre tips and tricks please and thank you.
