To properly wash a curly weft, start by gently detangling the hair using a wide-tooth comb to ensure it's tangle-free before getting it wet. Always use our designated shampoo and conditioner, specially formulated to maintain the integrity and moisture balance of the hair. Curly hair naturally tends to feel and appear drier than straight textures, so using a hair oil is also essential to help retain moisture and softness. To maintain the curl pattern, use methods such as scrunching, combing, or "scrunching" while the hair is damp. Clients familiar with caring for their own natural curls can apply the same techniques to their curly weft.
When drying, be sure to have your Miracle Mist on hand and apply it beforehand. This essential step provides heat protection, helping to shield the hair from damage while maintaining its softness, shine, and overall health during styling.
We strongly recommend that the Weft top is always fully dried to avoid damaging the beads or weft top with constant moisture contamination, as this will cause the rings to go green and mark blonde hair, or can deteriorate the weft top, potentially causing shedding damage throughout wear. Due to additional chemical processing and varying aftercare routines, the curly weft may have a different lifespan than our straight-finish Elegance Weft, so proper maintenance is key to longevity.
