Paris Fashion Week has been and gone this week but it’s impact on hair has been huge with one simple ‘croissant.’ A breakfast and all day staple of the French, it’s hair translation is soon to be emulated around the world. We tend to write our blogs on the top trends but really it’s this croissant that has stolen the media’s attention and if it looks good on Kendal, Gigi & Bella hadn’t we all better have a go?
Session Stylist Sam McKnight is behind the hair for Channel and the original inspiration is reported to be from a Picasso sculpture before Sam added the hashtag to a backstage instagram snap and we have #chanelcroissant. Created by molding human hair extensions over a foam shape before returning to the model’s hair to start with a center parting, smoothing the hair back and rolling from underneath to smooth over the form before securing with pins.
As for the rest of Paris Fashion Week there was little to report other than sleek hair (some wet looks) with stunning headband accessories from the likes of Valentino & Zuhair Murad. Georgia Armarni Privee models showcasing matching black lob’s with Hollywood Waves.
As the Fashion Week tour bus moves on we will be back of the next few weeks with more trend insights and #hairinspo.
