As we move into the party season we have looked back at some fabulous red carpet looks to help you choose some hair do’s for your Christmas & New Year parties. If you want a gorgeous hair-up look for that Work Christmas Do then make sure you talk to your extensionist to keep your bonds further from your hairline.
The Hunger Games premier was an opportunity for Jennifer Lawrence; at an in-between stage as she grows her hair out; a chance to pin back the longer lengths for a fake long hair up do. With plenty of side locks too short to pin back but used to great effect to soften the face and give an effortless feel. Elizabeth Banks showed a great example of an elegant half-up look with some backcombing to add volume to her pinned back fringe.
We also spotted Kiesza at the MTV EMA Awards style high twisting up-do coming down into the fringe area. A striking rock look, especially in red, but with a strong hold styling product and well placed pins will hold well even on the dance floor.
We loved Jennifer Anniston’s simple ponytail at a recent premier of her film Horrible Bosses 2. Moving away from her classic cut from ‘Friends’, it has a small piece of hair wrapped around to hide the band, yet avoiding the current sleeked back hair trend with some volume at the crown and soft fringe. Check out more red carpet pony’s here including Angelina Jolie-Pitt, Poppy Delevingne and Kourtney Kardashian too. If you want to add a twist maybe consider turning it into a bubble ponytail – check out this short VT with a How To guide.
Don’t forget the latest Wavy Wrap from Remi Cachet to help add some volume.
